Document Scanner – scan physical documents directly in the app 📄

Now you can scan a physical document with the camera in the Inspectly App. Document Scanner automatically detects the document, removes the background and saves it as a clean PDF on your registration 🎉

The feature makes it easy to:

  • Document physical documents — forms, delivery notes, certificates — directly from the field
  • Get a clean, professional PDF without crooked photos and background
  • Combine multiple pages into one document
  • Hold the camera over the document — the app detects it automatically
  • Scan multiple pages if you want them in the same document
  • Tap Save

The feature is free and ready to use right away in the app — on iOS and Android.

Example: Stand on site, scan the delivery note, and it is saved as a clean PDF on the registration right away — ready for the report.

What you can customize

The two settings look similar, but each one controls a different report type:

Show PDF in reports (account settings) — show the full PDF pages in a single report instead of just a link.

Show PDF in report (per module) — show the full PDF pages for a module in the combined report.
