Create a Channel
How to Create a Channel
Purpose: Ongoing communication across projects for specific groups.
Step-by-step:

Open Flow in the app

Go to the “Channels” tab

Tap the three dots in the top-right corner

Select “Create Channel”

Give the channel a name (e.g., “Safety,” “Management,” “Friday Ride”)

(Optional) Choose whether others can add members to the channel
-
Invite members:
-
Select specific users
-
More members can be added later
-

Tap “Create”
After the channel is created:
-
Only invited members can see the channel
-
You can send messages like in other conversations
-
You can add more members later (if you have permission)

The channel can be marked as a favorite
Difference from Posts:
-
Posts: One-to-many communication to the entire company
-
Channels: Ongoing conversations in smaller, targeted groups across projects
Typical use cases:

Safety channel: QHSE manager and all foremen discuss safety procedures

Management channel: Only management communicates about strategic decisions

Friday Ride: Social channel for those who cycle together

Legislation: Channel where the compliance officer shares updates on new regulations

New Onboarding: HR and new employees during the introduction period
