Milestones in Inspectly are a tool for easily creating and maintaining an overview of your deadlines related to a project, whether it's general internal project management tasks that are repeated across all types of projects in your company, or specific types of projects with tasks/deadlines related to specific standards and regulations.
Use Milestones, for example, to remember the collection or distribution of important documents—for both internal and external users—as well as for gathering signatures on documents.
Milestones can be set up both on active projects and on project templates. The latter is a smart idea for project types you have frequently, so that milestones don't have to be set up from scratch each time a new project is created.
The milestone timeline is located on the project's main page, and this is also where you can create the milestones.
Common to all types of milestones is that you need to provide a subject/title for the milestone, a description, and a deadline, which can either be relative to the project's start date or a specific fixed date. If you create milestones on a project template, you can only choose "Relative date" as the deadline.
