In this article, we will go over how to have posts on the bulletin board and files in the app read aloud. Posts and files can be read aloud in Danish as well as other selected languages.

Note: This requires the user to have a Knowledge & Communication license.

Overview of the feature

Text can be read aloud in any language worldwide, and we've made it user-friendly by ensuring that once a user selects a language, it is downloaded to the app for future use. This also means it will work offline as long as the file itself is available offline.

The "Read Aloud" feature works on the bulletin board, Knowledge Alerts, and all PDF files located in Global Files or project-specific files within the app.

We use Google Translate for translations, so we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy.

Note: A Knowledge & Communication license is required to use the "Read Aloud" feature.

Have a post read aloud

1. Press on the Pushpin icon – this is the shortcut to the Bulletin Board in the app

2. Select the post you want to have read aloud

3. Press the speaker icon to have the post read aloud

4. You can also have it read in another language
Press the translation icon ➜ Select a language ➜ Press the speaker icon

Have a file read aloud

Start by opening the global or project-specific file you want to have read aloud.
Learn how to find the files here: Files/Documents in the App

Once you have opened the file, follow these steps:

1. Press the translation icon.

2. Select the language you want the content read in.

3. Press the speaker icon to start the reading.

Note: If the file is already written in the language you want, simply tap the speaker icon.

Note: We cannot translate the actual text in a PDF file, but the content can still be read aloud in different languages.
