Important to Know About Videos

• A Knowledge & Communication license is required to upload and access videos.
  • Even without the license, you can still see video files in the overview, but you cannot open or interact with them.
• Video files can also be used in connection with Knowledge Alerts.
• We support .mp4 and .mov file types.
• We support video links to YouTube.
• The "Available Offline" setting is not possible for videos.
• File size:
  • Max 100 MB per video file when uploading from the admin page
  • Max length of 2 minutes when uploading from the app (upgrades can be purchased)
• It is not possible to create video links (YouTube) via the app.

Videos on the Admin Page

Uploading videos and adding video links can be done through Global Files or Project-Level Files. Additionally, it is possible to upload videos in connection with creating Knowledge Alerts, just like with regular PDF files.

Upload a video file or add a video link via the Files module:

Select a video file, upload a new one, or add a link when creating a Knowledge Alert:

Videos in the App

Videos can be uploaded via the app by tapping the video icon in the file modules (global and project level). Here, it is possible to upload a video file, for example, directly from the phone's gallery, or to record a video directly in the app, which will then be uploaded under files. This is useful, for example, when on-site and wanting to create an instructional video or similar that can benefit others on the project.
