This article will cover the general settings for your report template, how to create specific paragraphs in your report template, and which paragraph types you can use in your report template.
In this article, you will find:
Master data for your report template
Once you have accessed the report template you want to edit, there are three sections you can easily access and edit. These sections are the "Master Data" for your report template. Settings for "Master Data" will be covered below.
1. Specify title for report template
Here you can specify the title/name of your report template so that it is easily recognizable.
2. Report template settings
Here you can choose whether your report template should be available at the "Global level" by clicking on the square box and ensuring there is a blue checkmark in the box.
Note: Be aware that specific paragraphs in your report template may be project-specific and therefore cannot be viewed at the global level. Examples could be "Project Organization" and "Case Identification."
3. Select which projects should access the report template
Based on your active projects on your Inspectly account, you can choose which projects your report template should be associated with.
Create paragraphs in your report template
In addition to the "Master Data" in your report template, you can also add paragraphs to your report template to suit your needs.
In the "Paragraph Overview," you can see the created paragraphs in your report template. Here you can add new paragraphs to your report template by clicking the "Create Paragraph" button.
For each paragraph you create, you will have the following setting options for the individual paragraph:
1. Enter paragraph number
Each paragraph you create in your report template has a paragraph number that helps to provide an overview of the content in your report template.
2. Enter paragraph header
Here you can specify a title for your paragraph.
3. Show number and title in reports
Here you can choose whether the specified paragraph numbers and titles should be visible in your reports.
4. Select header size
Here you can choose the size of your paragraph titles from the dropdown menu.
5. Select paragraph type
For each paragraph you create, you can choose the type of paragraph to be used. There are many options available that cover a wide range of needs for the individual report template.
For example, there is a paragraph type called "Table of Contents" whose purpose is to create a table of contents for your report template based on the paragraphs you have created.
A deeper review of paragraph types will be presented in the next section of the article.
Paragraph types
As mentioned earlier, a wide range of paragraph types is offered to tailor your report template to your needs. In this section, the use of paragraph types will be reviewed.
To view your options for paragraph types, you need to click on the dropdown menu "Select Paragraph Type."
Inside the dropdown menu, you can choose from paragraph types categorized into different sections.
For example, the category "Front Page and Table of Contents" includes the paragraph types: "Front Page," "Table of Contents," and "Custom Text."
If you choose the paragraph type "Front Page" for a paragraph in your report template, it will now be created in your "Paragraph Overview."
You can further adjust each paragraph you create. By clicking on a newly created paragraph that has been assigned a paragraph type, you can change the settings for the paragraph or the content within the paragraph.
Note: Each paragraph type offers unique editing options and settings that suit the selected paragraph type. This means that specific editing options and settings will vary based on the paragraph type.
In this example, the paragraph type "Front Page" is selected. For this paragraph type, you have the option to add extra text to your front page. For instance, you can add information about your company that should appear on the front page of your reports.
