What is a checklist type?
Checklist types in Inspectly are used as general categories for the checklists you create for different tasks in your projects.
For example, you can create a checklist type called "Goods receipt inspection" to manage the receipt of goods and components. Within this checklist type, you can then create specific checklists, such as "Wood Components," which can be used to record and inspect the receipt of wood-based materials.
The checklist type helps you organize your work and ensures that all records are collected systematically.
This picture shows an example of how the relation between checklist types and checklists can look like:

It is also possible to make the settings for the checklist type both when creating and later editing, you can read more about this in the next section.
Checklist type settings

The first thing you need to decide is whether checklist under the checklist type should have the option of location or not. If you want the checklist in the checklist type to be able to mark, for example, on a floor plan, you should enable "Checklist with location", if you do not want to be able to mark on a floor plan when answering a checklist, you should select "Checklist without location".
You can also choose to write a location text here, if you do not write anything here it will be "Set location" by default.
