In this article, we will explain what Inspectly's control plan offers, the difference between a Global and Project-specific control plan, and how to set them up.
A control plan can, for example, be used for quality management, project management, or compliance with regulations. It often includes:
Methods – How the control should be performed.
Acceptance Criteria – The approved levels or standards for the control.
Documentation – How the results should be recorded.
Global controlplan
In the Global Control Plan, you can create standard control quantities and information for each form created in the checklists module. If you use the same control quantities and information for each of your forms, you can fill in the Global Control Plan and then copy the texts into your projects.
You can create new control point tabs by clicking the "+" sign, allowing you to enter all your control information. The control quantities you enter will be visible in the app to the executing personnel.
Global ➜ Checklists ➜ Control Plan ➜ Fill in the control plan ➜ Update Project ➜ Select the project to be updated ➜ Update
The columns are automatically saved as soon as you enter the values
Note: If you update your control plan on a project where a control plan has already been created, the previously entered quantities and information will be overwritten by the global quantities and information.
Project specific controlplan
Unlike the Global Control Plan, the Project-Specific Control Plan only applies to the project where it has been created. This means that any values you change in the Project-Specific Control Plan will not affect other projects.
Steps to access and fill out the control plan:
Select Project ➜ checklist ➜ Control Plan ➜ Fill in the Control Plan
The columns are automatically saved as soon as you enter the values
Control Plan and Subprojects
If you have subprojects linked to your Project-Specific Control Plan, you can adjust the values for your Control Quantities and Intervals for a specific subproject.
Steps to adjust values:
Click on the gear icon ➜ Adjust Control Quantities and Intervals ➜ Save
ControlPlan Headings and Content
In both the Global and Project-Specific Control Plans, you can fill in and create the following:
-
Control Point Number
- If your control form has a specific number, you can enter it here.
-
Checklists
- This indicates which control form is being referred to.
-
Control amount
- Defines how many times the control of the form must be completed/registered. This is calculated only based on fully completed checklists.
-
Interval
- Choose between: hour, day, week, month, and year. The interval specifies how often the defined control quantity should be performed.
For example, if you set the control quantity to 5 and the interval to per week, then 5 full controls of the form must be completed per week. The count resets at the start of each new week.
- Choose between: hour, day, week, month, and year. The interval specifies how often the defined control quantity should be performed.
-
Planned checkpoints
- If you want to show the executing personnel where a control should be performed on a floor plan, you can do so by clicking the "Planned checkpoints" button.
By clicking on a floor plan, you can mark the locations where controls should be performed. This provides an overview of completed and pending controls for both office staff and field personnel.
- If you want to show the executing personnel where a control should be performed on a floor plan, you can do so by clicking the "Planned checkpoints" button.
Note: Drawings must be uploaded before this function can be used.
You can add "Planned checkpoints" to your control plan. Would you like to learn more? Click HERE!
-
Control Point Information (which you can create yourself by clicking the "+" icon).
-
If you have the information for checklists and the method for performing the control, you can, for example, create a column called Method.
- Method: How should the control be performed?
- Acceptance Criteria: What are the approved levels or standards for the control?
- Documentation: How should the results be recorded?
-
-
Specify Quantity and Interval for Subprojects
-
Once the general data for the form's controls have been completed, you can specify quantities and intervals for each subproject.
By clicking the gear icon next to the form, you can define the control quantities and intervals for all your subprojects.
Note: This requires that subprojects have been created within the project.
-
The entered control quantity can be viewed in the app by the executing personnel before a form is completed.
