In this article, you will find a guide on how to adjust the global defect settings. Global defect settings are the settings that apply to the "Tasks" module across all your projects.
In this article, you will find:
Global defect settings
Global ➜ Tasks ➜ Settings; Task Types ➜ Click the pencil icon next to Defects ➜ Adjust the various settings ➜ Save Type.
In global defect settings, you will go through the following four fields:
1. Master data
2. Registration content
3. Responsible for task
4. Notifications
Master data
In master data, you will find the settings that users need to complete before creating a defect, as well as select the projects on which the defect should be displayed.
You can enable the following settings:
- Require location text.
- Required "marking on drawing".
- Allow marking on the map in the app.
- Associate to projects
Registration content
In this section, you can set the fields that users need to complete when creating a defect, either through the app or on the computer.
You can enable the following settings:
- Responsible for task
- Priority of the task
- Apply priority colors to floor plan and map markings
Responsible for task
In this section, you can set whether a defect should have a standard responsible user or a responsible profession. You can limit which profession can be selected as the standard responsible.
You can set a standard responsible profession or user by clicking in the fields under the heading "Add standard responsible".
Notifications
In this section, you can choose which notifications you receive and on which platforms. There are two sections:

When to send notifications
You can enable the times when the system should send you notifications. For example, if you choose to enable "Creation," you will receive a notification each time a defect is created.
How to send notifications
Here, you can select how you receive notifications. You can check or uncheck the platforms on which you want to receive notifications.
