Split by Subproject – Cleaner reports that follow your inspection plan 📋
With Split by Subproject, you can now group registrations per subproject directly in the Print Designer 🎉
The feature makes it easy to:
- Produce cleaner handover reports where the structure follows the project — not the registration type
- Give a better overview per subproject or building element
- Print registrations in the order of the controlplan — not just by date
- Mirror the actual structure of your project in the finished report
See the difference
In your existing report, everything is grouped by registration type: all receiving inspections together, all execution inspections together, and so on. With Split by Subproject, the report instead gathers everything belonging to each subproject — and gives it its own chapter.

Getting started
You'll find the feature in the Print Designer — both on project templates and global templates.
Find the feature
On a single project: Project → Print Reports → Print Templates → Edit Template
On a global template: Account → Print Templates → Edit Template
Create your first section
- Click the Split by Subproject button at the top of the template
- A grey section appears at the bottom of the section list
- Give the section a name on the right — e.g. "Inspection". The name appears in the table of contents
- Drag the sections you want to split into the grey area (registrations, inspection forms, inspection plans and custom text can all be split)
- Click Save and print as you normally would
Your report now shows one chapter per subproject with an updated table of contents.
Customise your sections
Once you've dragged a section into the grey area, you can:
- Choose the section layout: g. "High Detail" gives you control over the form order based on the inspection plan
- Sort registrations: Newest or oldest first, configured per registration type
- Print forms in the inspection plan order: Tick "Print forms in the same order as the inspection plan"
Note! The setting "Print forms in the inspection plan order" is only shown when the section layout is set to "High Detail".
Which sections can be split?
Some section types naturally belong at the report level (cover page, organisation, documents), and therefore cannot be split. All the types you'd typically group per subproject can be split:
