# Mark All as Read

## How to Mark All as Read

**Purpose:** Quickly manage notifications when you have many unread messages.

### In a Project Room:

1. Open a project room
2. Tap the three dots
3. Select **“Mark All as Read”**
4. All messages in the project’s channels and bulletin board are marked as read

### In a Channel:

1. Open a channel
2. Tap the three dots
3. Select **“Mark All as Read”**
4. All messages in the channel are marked as read

### In Direct Conversations:

1. Go to the **“Direct”** tab
2. Tap the three dots
3. Select **“Mark All as Read”**
4. All direct conversations are marked as read

### When it’s useful:

- Returning from vacation/weekend with 100+ unread messages
- You’ve manually reviewed messages and want to reset notifications
- You want a fresh starting point

### Tips:

- Consider reading important messages first before marking all as read
- This only removes the “unread” status—messages themselves are not deleted
