# Edit and Delete Messages

## How to Edit and Delete Messages

**Purpose:** Correct typos or remove messages sent by mistake.

### Editing Messages:

1. Find your own message that you want to edit
2. Press and hold the message (long press)
3. Select **“Edit”**
4. Make your changes
5. Tap **“Save”**

**Important note:**

- Edited messages clearly show that they have been changed
- The word **“Edited”** appears next to the message
- This ensures traceability—everyone knows the original message was modified

### Deleting Messages:

1. Find the message you want to delete
2. Press and hold the message (long press)
3. Select **“Delete”**
4. Confirm deletion

### Who can do what:

- You can always edit and delete your own messages
- Admins/moderators can delete others’ messages (based on user permissions)

### Why traceability matters:

- Documentation is critical in construction projects
- Messages can be part of compliance and evaluation
- It must be clear if information has been changed after sending
