# Create and edit a defect

In this article, you will find a guide on how to create and edit a defect.

### **Create and edit a defect**

#### **Create a new defect**

Your projects ➜ Select the relevant project ➜ Tasks ➜ Defects ➜ Select the type of defect ➜ Create ➜ (Optionally select a punch list/ defect list) ➜ Fill in the relevant information ➜ Click "Save".

#### **Edit a defect**

Your projects ➜ Select the relevant project ➜ Select tasks ➜ Click on "Defects" ➜ Select the type of defect ➜ Click on the registered defect you want to edit ➜ Open

You can now edit an existing defect.

Here you can:

- **Change the status**
- **Modify location and description**
- **Change the deadline**
- **Add or remove responsible users**
- **Write comments and view images**
