How to Attach Files, Images, and Videos
Purpose: Share visual material and documentation directly within your communication.
Step-by-step:

Open a conversation, channel, or create a post

Tap the message field
-
Tap the attachment icon (bottom-left)
-
Choose the source:
-
Camera: Take a photo/video directly
-
Gallery: Select existing images/videos from your phone
-
Files: Upload documents, PDFs, etc. from your phone
-
-
Select the file/image
-
The file is attached to the message
-
Optionally, add text to the file
-
Send the message
Difference between attachment and Inspectly link:
Attachment:
-
Upload a NEW image/file as part of the message
-
Ideal for: New photos from the construction site, handwritten notes, documents not yet in Inspectly
Inspectly link:
-
Link to a file that ALREADY exists in Inspectly’s file archive
-
Ideal for: Existing drawings, approved documents, project files
Example uses:

Foreman takes a photo of completed work and sends it in the project channel

Subcontractor uploads a drawing with handwritten notes and sends it to the project manager
-
QHSE manager attaches a photo of a safety hazard in the safety channel
-
Project manager sends a PDF with meeting minutes in the project room
